On August 16th, 2016 in the great state of Florida, St. Augustine Distillery announced the release of its much awaited Florida Double Cask Bourbon. As “Florida’s first producer of whiskey since the days of Prohibition,” St. Augustine has capitalized on the unique geography and climate of the region to bring the very best in American bourbon to your glass. This fine, oaky, malted bourbon owes some of its rich, dark-chocolate flavor to unique industry insight given from the world-renowned distillers of both
Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey and Maker’s Mark.

According to co-founder and CEO Philip McDaniel, Florida’s heavy maritime climate allows St. Augustine Distillery’s bourbon to “age in dog years”, with each batch of spirits spending a mere 16-28 months in distillation. Due to Florida’s pressure, humidity, and sea-level, St. Augustine’s Florida Double Cask Bourbon produces a more complex and full-bodied flavor than that of any other area of North American blend.
